Project Manager

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage two or more Superintendents in the field and assist with scheduling and project decisions as needed
  • Ensure that construction occurs according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines
  • Oversee the Superintendent to ensure he or she is properly supervising all subcontractors attendance and performance on job sites
  • Schedule meetings with Superintendents to review all plans and specs of each construction project prior to beginning the construction process
  • Review all as-built drawings with Superintendent prior to submitting to customer/client
  • Award and negotiate subcontractors with the aim to improve profitability of projects
  • Prepare and track all submittals when required
  • Approve project invoices provided to MRG by the subcontractors
  • Create a master schedule at the beginning of the project to distribute to Superintendent and subcontractors
  • Communicate with Superintendent to ensure schedule is being followed in a timely manner
  • Document in computer database any changes made to the schedule and distribute updated version to all parties involved in the project
  • Complete weekly checklists and budget spreadsheet to track project progress
  • Ensure all subcontractors, Superintendents, and anyone on their construction site follow proper safety rules and regulations

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Must work well under pressure, be flexible and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including clients, other managers, designers, superintendents, and crew.
  • Must be willing to travel as the PM will be required to visit project sites as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2‑5 years construction project management experience preferred
  • OSHA 10-hr is a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite

Project Superintendent

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise subcontractors and the overall construction of projects according to strict deadlines and budget requirements
  • Communicate with subcontractors regularly and coordinate scheduling of daily activities to ensure project is completed on time
  • Make project construction and scheduling decisions with the objective of increasing project profitability and project deadline
  • Determine plan of action when unforeseen conditions and/or problems arise on construction sites
  • Follow all plans & specs, and review them with subcontractors prior to project start-up
  • Adhere to project schedules set forth by the Project Manager and ensure milestones are met
  • Communicate with the Project Manager regularly to provide updates on project progress, delays and future concerns
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and perform duties in accordance to customer needs and MRG expectations
  • Demonstrate open dialogue with customers, subcontractors and Project Managers when making adjustments with project schedule and budget
  • Complete all MRG reporting and photo requirements and ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion for distribution to customers/clients
  • Perform weekly Tool Box Talks meetings with all parties on jobsite
  • Actively ensure all subcontractors follow proper safety procedures
  • Interact with building departments for permits, inspections and certificate of occupancy
  • Responsible for the removal and replacement of various items such as dumpsters, storage containers and portable toilets
  • Coordinate delivery schedules for project materials, tools and equipment
  • Ensure all required materials are present on each construction site including MRG banner, labor posters, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, surface computer, table & chairs, safety manual, building permit and project plans

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Must be OSHA certified
  • Current MA Construction Supervisors License
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism with strong verbal/written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving, managerial and communication skills
  • Knowledge of current building and construction codes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe construction practices (OSHA)
  • Willingness to travel to throughout the New England area
